Are you missing opportunities in influencer marketing?

Probably, we can’t all be perfect all the time.

A feature that I don’t see utilized enough when it comes to SaaS marketing campaigns? Enter: the ā€œcollaborateā€ feature on IG reels.

This feature tool allows brands and influencers to jointly create Reels, like this one, where both parties get to share the same content on their profiles. This feature is a huge win-win for both influencer and brand, because they get to borrow each others’ audiences, and it usually results in a lot more views, comments and saves than either party would get on their own, making it a great strategy to drive engagement.

How it works:
  1. The brand would approach an influencer as they normally would for an influencer marketing campaign. You ask them to create a reel that’s in line with their usual content and style.

  2. You go through the normal rounds of revisions and content reviews until you get to an approved draft that you’re happy to have on your brand’s page.

  3. Then the influencer posts the reel and sends the brand a collaboration request. Once the brand accepts, the Reel will appear on both profiles.

  4. Engage in comments as both of your audiences drum up conversation and buzz about the collab.

Consumer brands have been utilizing this feature since it first launched on IG (hello @Dunkin looking at you), but I rarely see SaaS brands taking advantage of it. Incorporating ā€œIG collaborationsā€ like this into your marketing strategy can be a big win for growing brands focusing on building up their organic presence alongside with their influencer marketing. Test it out on your next campaign and see the growth potential for yourself!
